This morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel before meeting our expert local guide for a tour of the fascinating Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Over the centuries, various cultures have left their mark on Zanzibar, and Stone Town is where these influences are most visible. Your guide will first take you to the vibrant market, bustling with locals and filled with exotic aromas. Afterward, you’ll visit the tranquil 19th-century cathedral, built on the site of the former slave market following the abolition of slavery in 1873.

As you stroll through the narrow streets and alleys, you’ll pass Arab houses with their inner courtyards, hidden behind heavy doors, and compare them with the Indian residences, distinguished by their balustrades and metal railings. Among the town’s historic landmarks are the ‘Tip Tip House,’ the Old Fort, and the People’s Palace Museum. Lunch will be served at the Silk Route Indian rooftop restaurant, offering ocean views. The Silk Route is full of character, so enjoy the excellent cuisine, perhaps accompanied by a cocktail. In the evening, you’ll be escorted back to your Stone Town hotel for dinner and a leisurely evening.

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning. Your Stone Town hotel will provide an early lunch before we transfer you to your chosen beach hotel for the next part of your stay in exotic, enticing Zanzibar. After the vibrant experience of Stone Town, it’s time to relax and unwind.

Today, enjoy another full day of relaxation at your beachside hotel. You may choose to take a swim in the ocean or partake in the hotel’s activities. Alternatively, you can explore more of this beautiful island. The hotel’s reception staff will be happy to assist in arranging any excursions or activities that catch your interest.

After breakfast at your hotel, we will transfer you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your onward flight. If your departure is later in the day, we will arrange for you to have lunch before you leave the hotel.
