Today’s destination is the traditional Maasai village of Ngare Sero, located in the hot and dusty Rift Valley. From a distance, you may catch glimpses of the pink glow of flamingos as they breed and feed by the lake. As the sun sets, you will embark on a guided walk with a Maasai guide to a nearby waterfall. After taking in the natural beauty of the area, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early start, you will travel along adventurous dirt tracks with breathtaking views as your vehicle climbs out of the Rift Valley, reaching the grassy plains of the Serengeti by midday. In Maasai, Serengeti means “endless plains,” and you will truly find the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon, dotted with grazing animals. The Serengeti is a must-see park for anyone planning a trip to Tanzania. It is the park where the greatest wonder of the world, “The Annual Migration of Wildebeest,” takes place, as millions of animals march in search of fresh pasture and water, often risking their lives and the lives of their calves. After your game viewing, you will overnight at your lodge in the northern part of the park.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included
Following breakfast, you will spend the entire day on a game drive in Serengeti National Park, enjoying lunch at a picnic spot along the way. Depending on the time of year, you may have the chance to witness the great migration, which includes hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles.
During the short rainy season in October and November, these herds typically move from the Kenyan Masai Mara through the northwest of the Serengeti to the plains in the south. After the long rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds gradually travel back through the western and northwestern parts of the Serengeti. Due to fluctuations in rainfall, this timetable can change, resulting in the animals migrating at different times and along different routes.
Your guide will do his utmost to locate the animals and ensure you can observe them from the best vantage points in the national park. Naturally, the migration also attracts predators, and with some luck, you might witness a kill in action.
You will spend the night at the same lodge.
