Tour Itinerary

Tour Plan

1 Arrival Day

You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your arranged hotel in Moshi or Arusha. You will meet your driver-guide, who will brief you on your upcoming safaris, and then you can rest until the next morning.

2 Moshi to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your driver/guide will be ready to pick you up and head into Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly composed of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation primarily consists of Acacia woodlands and giant African Baobab trees, with large swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like magnets for wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season.

Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This national park is also home to three rare species of animals: the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. We will have a picnic lunch, after which we will continue our game drive until late evening, then drive to our accommodation for the night.

3 Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we head towards Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti National Park—with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We proceed to the central area of the park, known as the Seronera area, which is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. This area features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source and attracts a diverse range of wildlife representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park.

4 Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we continue our game drive until lunchtime. Following lunch, we proceed to Ngorongoro for an overnight stay. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to experience the traditional life of the Maasai and get a glimpse into their unique culture within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

5 Ngorongoro Crater to Kilimanjaro Airport

Following an early breakfast, we will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This unique ecosystem, supported by year-round water, is home to an array of animals, including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and massive African elephants. The crater also boasts a dense population of predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and sometimes even leopards—though spotting them may take a trained eye.

During the tour, we will stop at Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the crater’s southwestern corner, where flamingos, hippos, and other bird species can often be seen. After lunch, we will ascend from the crater and proceed directly to the airport.
