You will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha at 07:00 hrs and transferred to Tarangire National Park to begin your game viewing experience. This magnificent park is renowned for its large baobab trees, abundant wildlife, including one of the largest elephant populations in the country, and a wide variety of bird species.

After your tour of the park, you will be transferred to your lodge in Karatu, where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, we head towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti National Park—where vast, endless plains stretch as far as the eye can see. Our destination is the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. The Seronera River, which flows through this region, provides a vital water source that attracts a wide variety of wildlife, representative of many of the Serengeti’s species.

We arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park.

After exploring the park, you will be transferred to your lodge for the night.

After breakfast, you will spend the entire day on a game drive in Serengeti National Park, with lunch at a picnic spot along the way. Depending on the time of year, you may have the chance to witness the Great Migration, with hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. During the short rainy season in October and November, these herds typically move from Kenya’s Masai Mara through the northwest Serengeti to the southern plains. After the long rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds gradually travel back through the western and northwestern Serengeti. With varying rainfall patterns, this timetable can change, causing the animals to migrate at different times and along different routes. Your guide will do their utmost to locate the herds and ensure you have the best vantage point in the park. Naturally, the migration also attracts predators, and with some luck, you may witness a hunt in action. You will return to the same lodge for the night.

Dawn is an excellent time for wildlife viewing, so you will wake up early for a morning game drive. Afterward, you will return to the camp for breakfast before embarking on another game drive in the park. In the Seronera region, you will often see wildebeests and zebras in close proximity to lions and other predators, such as leopards and cheetahs. Following a picnic lunch, you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will drive down the steep and narrow road that leads into the crater. The slopes are forested, but soon the landscape transforms into savannah. Here, the wildlife is breathtaking, and with a bit of luck, you can observe the Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard — in just a few hours. You may also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and some of the over 500 bird species found in the area. After a morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the early afternoon and drive back to Arusha, Moshi, or the airport, arriving in the early evening.
