After breakfast, your driver/guide will be ready to pick you up and head to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation consists mainly of Acacia woodlands and giant African Baobab trees, with large swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act as magnets for wildlife during Tanzania’s dry season.

Tarangire National Park is known for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. The park is also home to three rare species—the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. We will have lunch at a picnic site, then continue our game drive until late evening before heading to the accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, we will continue the game drive until lunchtime. After lunch, we’ll resume the game drive, exploring until the evening. Then, we’ll drive to Karatu, near the highlands of Ngorongoro, for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day wildlife safari. The crater’s year-round water supply supports a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. The park is also home to a dense population of predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a keen eye to spot.

We will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern part of the crater, known for its flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. After lunch, we’ll ascend from the crater and head straight to the airport.
